Coverage: Armie Hammer Attends Toronto International Film Festival 2017

Written by Mouza on September 12 2017

Hey everyone,

After a few super busy days, it looks like Armie is done with TIFF. I didn’t post to the site during the daily coverage as I thought it would just be easier to make one big post at the end of it.

September 07 | Armie’s first day in TIFF where he attended the premiere and after party of “Call Me By Your Name” which got a long standing ovation and received a lot of great reviews.

September 08 | The day tarted early with the photocall and press conference/Q&A for the movie. Followed by the Armie, his “Call Me By Your Name” co-star Timothée Chalamet & the movie director Luca Guadagnino starting the studio round with IMDB studio. Later that night, Armie attended the after party of the movie Stronger.

September 09 | Armie & the “Call Me By Your Name” crew continued the studio tour with their next stop being the Variety Studio (to watch all the actual interviews that happened during the festival, make sure to check out @ArmieHGlobal who did a great job in keeping track of all of them). Later that night Armie made 3 different stops in the HFPA And InStyle’s TIFF Celebration, Sony Pictures Classics TIFF Celebration Dinner 2017 & Entertainment Weekly’s Must List Party.

Portraits | The great thing about doing the festival rounds is the amount of new shoots & portraits we get. We have added 10 new set of shoots that Armie did in the past few days around the festival.

Feature: The Year’s Most Sensual Love Story

Written by Mouza on August 07 2017

Call Me by Your Name, which opens in theaters in November, is a film about first love: specifically, an affair between a 17-year-old boy and a 24-year-old doctoral student working for the boy’s father, a professor of Greco-Roman culture.

Based on the novel by André Aciman, the film, which was directed by Luca Guadagnino, is set in the 1980s, in a villa in a bucolic small town in Italy, but its sense of youthful desire is timeless and universal. “You don’t really see a lot of tender love stories between men,” Armie Hammer, who plays Oliver, the older of the two, told me. “There’s always one person who says, ‘Oh, we can’t do this’ or ‘My family wouldn’t approve.’ You don’t get that in this movie. Instead, you have two men who are trying to figure out the feelings they have for each other.” [more at source]
